Viola Communications Expands Leadership Team with Leadership Appointments

Viola Communications, part of the 2PointZero Group, has strengthened its leadership structure with the appointment of Camilla d’Abo as General Manager, Public Relations, and Larry Kraut as Business Director, Client Services. The move supports the agency’s ongoing strategy to enhance its integrated marketing and communications capabilities and further establish itself as a leading communications partner in Abu Dhabi.

These appointments reflect Viola Communications’ continued investment in senior talent, specialist expertise, and technology-driven capabilities as the marketing and communications industry undergoes rapid transformation. The agency is evolving its leadership framework to bring together experienced professionals across communications, creative, media, digital, strategy, content, events, technology, and customer experience within a unified service model.

D’Abo and Kraut join an experienced leadership team that includes Mohammed Ajawi, Chief Client Officer, whose background spans leading global agencies such as Ogilvy, BCW, and Havas, as well as Ivan Bormaister, Executive Creative Director and Cannes Lions-winning creative leader with experience across FP7 McCann, Saatchi & Saatchi, and VMLY&R.

Commenting on the new appointments, Piero Poli, Chief Executive Officer of Viola Communications, said: “The industry is entering a new chapter. Technology is reshaping all facets of marketing, and clients are facing more complexity, more scrutiny and more pressure. In this environment, clients need senior advisors more than ever.”

“Our ambition is clear. We are building the most sophisticated marketing and communications agency in Abu Dhabi defined by senior expertise, integrated thinking and technology-enabled creativity. Camilla and Larry are exactly the calibre of leaders required to help us achieve that vision.”

Camilla d’Abo brings more than 25 years of communications expertise, having advised governments, multinational businesses, and major regional organizations. Her previous leadership roles include positions at APCO Worldwide, Edelman DABO, BPG Group, and Action Global Communications.

Speaking about the evolving role of communications, d’Abo said: “Communications is no longer a support function. It sits across reputation, policy, growth, investment, employee engagement and brand value. Organisations are operating in a far more complex environment and that demands stronger strategic counsel. The opportunity is not simply to deliver campaigns but to help clients solve bigger business challenges.”

Larry Kraut joins Viola with over 20 years of agency leadership experience, having worked with organizations including M&C Saatchi UAE, Iris London, and GroupM New York. Throughout his career, he has managed major accounts spanning real estate, FMCG, and global consumer brands.

Discussing the value of integrated services, Kraut said: “Clients have little interest in managing disconnected specialists. They want partners who can connect strategy, creativity, media, communications and technology around a single commercial objective. Viola already has the foundations in place. The opportunity now is to scale that model and create even greater value for clients.”

The appointments come as Viola Communications continues to expand its capabilities in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and technology-enabled marketing solutions. The agency believes that combining creativity with intelligence and insight is essential to delivering stronger business outcomes for clients.

With more than 20 years of experience supporting government entities, national organizations, and private-sector businesses, Viola Communications is positioning itself for the next phase of growth, where integrated expertise, advanced technology, and strategic creativity work together to drive measurable results.
