Saatchi & Saatchi and Purple Brain Win at Gerety Awards 2026

Saatchi & Saatchi Middle East & Africa and Purple Brain have secured wins at the 2026 Gerety Awards, giving the Middle East and Africa two of the event’s winning entries this year.

Saatchi & Saatchi MEA earned a Gold for LumpDolls, developed by Publicis Impact and Saatchi & Saatchi MEA for Carrefour Tunisia. The campaign won in the Health CUT (Strategy) category.

Created around Tunisia’s traditional Sejnane clay dolls, LumpDolls uses the culturally significant craft to raise awareness about breast cancer and demonstrate how women can perform self-examinations. The campaign has previously received recognition at other industry platforms, including Cannes Lions, and was also shortlisted at D&AD.

Purple Brain claimed the second regional honour, winning Bronze in the Craft CUT (Visual Effects) category for A Vision, Inherited. The campaign was created for Saudi Vision 2030 by agency Them Again.

The two wins mark the only honours secured by campaigns from the Middle East and Africa at the 2026 Gerety Awards. The recognition also marks Tunisia’s first-ever Gerety Award, achieved through LumpDolls.

The 2026 edition brought together more than 250 judges representing over 50 countries, who evaluated work spanning advertising, marketing, production, design and media. The awards recognised four Grand Prix winners, alongside 34 Golds, 69 Silvers and 75 Bronzes.

VML UK’s The KitKat Heist for KitKat emerged as one of the biggest winners, taking two Grand Prix awards in the Communication CUT-PR and the new Moments CUT-PR categories.

Other Grand Prix-winning campaigns included HeimatTBWA\ Berlin’s No Project Without Drama for HORNBACH, which won the Craft CUT-Production Design Grand Prix, and The Count for SickKids by Soundtree Music for FCB Canada, which received the Craft CUT-Music Grand Prix.

Reflecting on the work recognised this year, Dipshika Ravi, National Creative Director, Schbang, India, said:

“In a year where everyone is chasing attention, the work that stood out was work that earned it rather than demanded it,” said Dipshika Ravi, National Creative Director, Schbang, India.

Maria Milusheva, CCO, OM Group & MUCH BETTER, Bulgaria, said the campaign demonstrated that “AI can manufacture content, but it cannot manufacture attention”, while Imen Gharbi, Managing Director, Doze Agency, Tunisia, pointed to the craft, cultural understanding and precision behind this year’s winning work.

Alejandra Fehrmann, Global Communications Executive, said the winners demonstrated that “creativity has no single accent, market or formula”, while Christen Rochon, Ad Partnerships Director at NBCUniversal, said the strongest Grand Prix work creates an impact that extends beyond the immediate campaign.
