Mert Yener Joins Restaurant Brands International as Marketing Director, EMEA for Tim Hortons

Restaurant Brands International (RBI) has appointed Mert Yener as Marketing Director, EMEA for Tim Hortons, strengthening the brand’s marketing leadership across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Yener announced his new role through a LinkedIn post, revealing that he is relocating to Switzerland after spending the past 10 years in Dubai, marking a new chapter in his international marketing career.

Prior to joining Restaurant Brands International, Yener served as Managing Director of Family First Cafe at Varkey Group in Dubai, UAE. He held the position for five months before transitioning to his new role at RBI.

With more than 14 years of experience, Yener has built expertise in brand development, digital transformation, and marketing strategy across 22 international markets.

Before his tenure at Varkey Group, he spent nearly a decade with Yum! Brands, where he held several leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Marketing for KFC, overseeing marketing across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Pakistan, and Turkey.

His appointment reflects Restaurant Brands International’s continued focus on strengthening Tim Hortons’ marketing leadership as the brand expands its presence across the EMEA region.
