Animotion Media Group appoints Faris Sibai as Chief Commercial Officer to drive global growth strategy

Animotion Media Group has named Faris Sibai as its new Chief Commercial Officer, reinforcing the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its content portfolio and commercial operations.

In his new role, Sibai will oversee the company’s commercial strategy, focusing on revenue growth, strategic partnerships, sponsorships, brand collaborations, licensing, distribution, and long-term business development. He will also be responsible for building scalable commercial frameworks around original intellectual property (IP), branded entertainment, and content-driven storytelling ecosystems.

The appointment reflects Animotion Media Group’s broader strategy to strengthen its commercial capabilities by creating sustainable business models centred on IP, partnerships, content distribution, and brand-funded entertainment, rather than relying solely on individual commercial agreements.

Sibai brings more than 20 years of experience across media, advertising, streaming, and commercial transformation. Throughout his career, he has led initiatives involving go-to-market strategy, monetisation, strategic partnerships, and operational transformation for global agency groups, digital platforms, and media businesses.

Before joining Animotion Media Group, Sibai held a senior commercial leadership role at Starzplay, where he was responsible for advertising revenue, sponsorships, partnerships, and new commercial business models.

His career also includes senior leadership positions across WPP, IPG, Publicis, Omnicom, and regional streaming businesses, with experience working in Dubai, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and London.
