Spotify Rolls Out Podcast Clips Feature in the UAE to Boost Podcast Discovery and Sharing

Spotify has introduced Podcast Clips in the UAE, a new feature aimed at helping users save, revisit, and share memorable moments from their favourite podcast episodes.

The feature is designed to make podcast listening more interactive by allowing users to capture standout moments—whether it’s an insightful piece of advice, a funny exchange, or a discussion worth sharing with others.

With Podcast Clips, listeners can create short snippets from podcast episodes and save them for future reference. Saved clips are stored in a dedicated section within Your Library and can also be added to podcast playlists, making it easier to revisit meaningful content whenever needed.

The new functionality also offers creators an additional avenue for audience growth and engagement. Individual clips can act as discovery tools, helping attract new listeners while strengthening connections with existing audiences.

How Podcast Clips Work

Users can create a clip by tapping the scissor icon in the Now Playing screen while listening to a podcast. The selected section can then be trimmed, saved, or shared.

Spotify also provides multiple sharing options through the share menu, enabling users to distribute a full episode, specific chapter, timestamp, or clip. Content can be shared directly through Spotify Messages or via other supported social and messaging platforms.

The Podcast Clips feature is being rolled out globally for both Free and Premium users on mobile devices. Spotify plans to expand support to additional podcast titles over time, allowing more listeners to capture and share their favourite podcast moments.
