SHRM Elevates Gaurav Bansal to Senior Director – Marketing & Communications for India, APAC & MENA

SHRM has promoted Gaurav Bansal to the position of Senior Director – Marketing & Communications for India, APAC & MENA, recognizing his contributions to the organization over the past three years.

With more than 20 years of experience spanning consulting, media, information technology, and ed-tech sectors, Bansal has played a key role in strengthening SHRM’s brand presence, communication framework, and regional engagement initiatives. His promotion reflects the organization’s commitment to advancing strategic brand leadership and expanding its influence across key international markets.

Since joining SHRM, Bansal has led a range of integrated marketing and communications initiatives aimed at enhancing stakeholder engagement and elevating the organization’s visibility across India, the Asia-Pacific region, and the Middle East. His efforts have contributed significantly to strengthening SHRM’s positioning as a leading voice in workplace and human resource development.

Before joining SHRM, Bansal served as Chief Marketing Officer at The Princeton Review, where he was responsible for driving brand growth and learner engagement strategies. Prior to that, he held the role of Head of Marketing & Technology Innovation at NetCom Learning, leading digital transformation initiatives and innovative marketing programs within the professional learning space.

Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles at organizations including World Trade Center ViridianRED, The Times of India, CyberMedia, and India Today. Known for his expertise in brand building, storytelling, audience engagement, and technology-driven marketing, Bansal has consistently focused on creating customer-centric communication strategies and sustainable brand value.

In his expanded role, Bansal will continue to oversee integrated marketing and communications efforts across India, APAC, and MENA, with a focus on strengthening SHRM’s regional presence, deepening stakeholder relationships, and supporting the organization’s mission around workplace transformation and the future of work.
