Mercedes-Benz Middle East has appointed Vera Wessolek as Director of Marketing, Distribution Network and Online-to-Offline, expanding her responsibilities across the company’s global General Distributor network.
The appointment comes as Mercedes-Benz commemorates 140 years of innovation and enters an active product launch cycle spanning 2026 and 2027.
Wessolek brings close to a decade of experience with Mercedes-Benz AG, with expertise across digital transformation, customer experience, retail development, marketing and future mobility.
In her most recent position as Head of Customer Services Digital Transformation for Region Overseas, she led the rollout of ATC digital stores across 18 markets, including Australia, South Korea, Germany and Austria. Her work also contributed to positive year-on-year growth in Digital Extras.
She has additionally driven cultural and digital transformation programmes across 18 countries, working with transformation ambassadors to accelerate the adoption of new ways of working across international markets.
Commenting on the appointment, Michael Stroband, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East and Global Head of Mercedes-Benz General Distributors, said, “Vera Wessolek has significantly contributed to the success of Mercedes-Benz through her work across marketing, digital transformation, customer services and international retail. Thanks to her extensive international experience in Europe, Asia and North America, she is an exceptionally experienced leader with a highly strategic vision, customer-centric mindset, and ability to drive meaningful transformation. With her passion for innovation and execution strength, she is the ideal candidate to lead Marketing, Distribution Network and Online-to-Offline across more than 100 markets”
In her new role, Wessolek will oversee the integration of marketing, distribution network development and online-to-offline customer journeys across the Mercedes-Benz General Distributor network.
Her responsibilities will include developing seamless and data-led customer experiences, while encouraging greater collaboration, market localisation and knowledge sharing across more than 100 markets in regions including the Middle East, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
Wessolek said, “The General Distributor network is one of Mercedes-Benz’s greatest strengths, a diverse, far-reaching community of markets that is united by a shared ambition to deliver the best of the brand to customers wherever they are.”
She added, “What excites me most about this role is the opportunity to bring marketing, retail and the online-to-offline journey into closer alignment, so that the way a customer discovers, experiences and connects with Mercedes-Benz feels as seamless and compelling as the product itself. At its best, that is what the Mercedes-Benz experience should feel like: a genuine Welcome Home, no matter the market. I look forward to working alongside our General Distributor partners to build on the strong foundations that have been established here, and to translate Mercedes-Benz’s product and innovation story into customer experiences that are both globally consistent and genuinely locally relevant.”
Before taking up her latest role, Wessolek worked as Executive Assistant to the Head of Region Overseas, Mercedes-Benz Cars. She was also selected for the company’s INspire programme, a key talent development initiative.
Her international experience includes assignments in Stuttgart, Silicon Valley, Singapore and Berlin, where she worked across future mobility, software development, data analytics, digital customer journeys and sales funnel optimisation.
Earlier, Wessolek led Mercedes-Benz’s branded entertainment initiatives in eSports and gaming, overseeing award-winning campaigns and partnerships with the Electronic Sports League.
