Google Expands Gemini with Personal Intelligence Across the Arab World

Google has introduced its Personal Intelligence feature within the Gemini app for users across the Arab world, marking a significant step in enhancing personalized AI experiences in the region.

Originally rolled out in the United States earlier this year, Personal Intelligence allows Gemini to connect securely with applications such as Gmail and Google Photos. This integration enables the AI to deliver more relevant and contextual responses based on a user’s own data, preferences, and past interactions.

The feature is designed around two key capabilities: the ability to analyze information across multiple sources and retrieve precise details from emails, images, or other content. By combining these strengths, Gemini can generate tailored recommendations—whether suggesting books, planning trips, or answering complex queries using a mix of text, photos, and videos.

Privacy remains a central focus. Personal Intelligence is turned off by default, allowing users to choose which apps to connect and giving them full control to enable or disable the feature at any time. When activated, Gemini only accesses data to respond to specific requests, ensuring sensitive information remains securely within Google’s ecosystem.

To enhance transparency, Gemini also provides references or explanations showing how responses are generated, allowing users to verify the source of information. This approach aims to deliver a more intuitive and trustworthy AI experience while maintaining strict data control.

The feature is currently available to subscribers of Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans across the Arab world, with plans to extend access to free users in the coming weeks. Users can activate Personal Intelligence through the app settings by selecting and linking their preferred applications.
