Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dubai CommerCity, the region’s first free zone dedicated exclusively to digital commerce and a joint venture between the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) and Wasl Properties, has entered into a strategic partnership with NQuBator to introduce a new incubation programme aimed at supporting high-potential digital commerce startups and strengthening Dubai’s innovation-led entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The initiative will open with a Global Call for Applications on 10 August 2026, inviting entrepreneurs and early-stage startups from across the world to apply for the inaugural cohort. The first programme will focus on addressing opportunities and challenges within the digital commerce sector.
Selected participants will begin the structured incubation programme in October 2026, where they will receive guidance to refine business models, validate solutions and prepare their ventures for market expansion.
The programme is designed to provide participating startups with tailored mentorship, expert advisory support, capability-building workshops and access to industry networks that can help strengthen business models and improve market readiness. Dubai CommerCity will also facilitate pilot opportunities with corporate partners while organising Demo Days and investor engagement sessions to connect startups with potential investors, strategic partners and new business opportunities.
Amna Lootah, Director General of Dubai CommerCity, said: “We are committed to advancing initiatives that support the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) by strengthening the Emirate’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Our partnership with NQuBator reflects this commitment by helping bridge the investment readiness gap for digital and e-commerce startups, providing founders with the mentorship, business capabilities, and operational expertise required to build resilient, investment-ready businesses with long-term growth potential.”
Saeed Hamad Al Hamli, Founder and CEO of NQuBator, said: “Building successful digital commerce ventures requires more than innovative ideas. It requires access to the right ecosystem, industry expertise, strategic partnerships, and growth opportunities. Dubai CommerCity provides the ideal environment for entrepreneurs to launch, test, and scale digital commerce businesses, making it the natural partner for this initiative. Through this incubation programme, we aim to equip promising founders with the practical support, mentorship, and investor access they need to transform innovative concepts into commercially viable businesses capable of competing on a regional and global stage.”
As part of the collaboration, Dubai CommerCity will provide participating startups with access to its innovation ecosystem, helping them connect with strategic stakeholders to accelerate business growth and collaboration. Eligible startups will also receive support in establishing and expanding their regional presence through business setup services, regulatory guidance and access to a comprehensive range of ecosystem resources designed to simplify market entry and support long-term expansion.
The partnership aligns with Dubai’s broader ambition to strengthen its position as a global hub for entrepreneurship and digital commerce. By combining the expertise of Dubai CommerCity and NQuBator, the programme seeks to help emerging ventures scale sustainably, attract investment and unlock new market opportunities while contributing to the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
Applications for the programme will open on 10 August 2026, with entrepreneurs and startups invited to submit their entries through NQuBator’s application portal.
