adidas has unveiled a new football-focused activation in the UAE, blending elements of gaming, motorsport, and football culture through a real-world experience inspired by the popular video game Rocket League. The campaign arrives as excitement builds for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and aims to engage younger audiences through immersive and social-first experiences.

At the heart of the campaign is a large-scale desert activation that transforms the virtual aesthetics of Rocket League into a live-action football spectacle. The initiative showcases adidas’ approach to connecting with fans through experiences that extend beyond traditional sport.

The campaign begins at the adidas store in Dubai Mall, where visitors can explore football-themed retail spaces featuring interactive installations, immersive visuals, and tournament-inspired experiences throughout the month.

Alongside the in-store activations, adidas has launched a wider digital and social media campaign across its regional channels to amplify engagement and bring the experience to football fans across the region.

Set against the UAE’s desert backdrop, the activation featured leading football content creators participating in a Rocket League-inspired challenge. The experience included customized Mercedes G-Wagons and a giant adidas Trionda football, recreating the spirit of the game in a real-world setting.

The specially designed vehicles were inspired by adidas’ Road to Glory Pack and reflected the identities of the F50 and Predator football boots. Drawing on themes of speed and precision, the activation translated the characteristics of the latest adidas football collection into an immersive off-pitch experience.

As anticipation for FIFA World Cup 2026 continues to grow, adidas plans to introduce additional football-themed retail activations across selected UAE locations throughout the summer.
