Pinterest has named Farimah Moeini as Head of Sales Partnerships for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), marking the company’s first direct hire in the region.
In her new role, Moeini will spearhead market expansion efforts and collaborate closely with Pinterest’s regional sales partner DMS to help advertisers unlock the platform’s high-intent audience. She will work with brands to drive performance across the full marketing funnel using Pinterest’s capabilities.
Martín Machinandiarena said, “Farimah is a proven builder with deep MENA expertise and a track record of translating platform capability into measurable revenue growth. With over 80 per cent of our users in international markets, she will be instrumental in expanding our regional presence and strengthening how we show up and go to market alongside our partner DMS.”
Based in Dubai, Moeini brings over 17 years of experience in digital media, having held leadership roles at Smartly, Snap, and Yahoo across the MENA region.
Most recently, she served as Regional Director at Smartly, where she played a key role in expanding the company’s footprint in MENA and shaping go-to-market strategies with partners such as Snap, Meta, Google, and Amazon Ads.
Earlier, she spent nearly seven years at Snap, joining as one of the company’s early hires in the region and later leading as Head of Industry, MENA, managing a portfolio of enterprise brands.
Commenting on her appointment, Farimah Moeini said, “Pinterest is a positive, inspiring platform where people actively come to plan, discover, and shop. In a region as creative and visual-first as MENA,”
She added, “Pinterest provides a safe environment for brands to connect with leaned-in and high-intent audiences. I’m looking forward to working alongside DMS, enabling leading local and iconic global brands to tap into those vital moments of discovery, bringing consumers on the complete journey from inspiration to purchase.”
The appointment comes amid strong global momentum for Pinterest. The platform reported a record performance in 2025, generating over $4 billion in revenue and reaching 619 million monthly active users worldwide. Growth has been particularly strong across international markets, including Europe and other global regions, as advertisers increasingly turn to Pinterest to connect with intent-driven audiences.
