Motivate Media Group has strengthened its leadership roster with the appointment of Thomas Woodgate as Group Content Director, reinforcing the company’s long-term strategy for editorial expansion and content innovation across the MENA region.
Woodgate joins the organisation with extensive global experience spanning content strategy, editorial stewardship, brand storytelling, and media communications. Before moving to the Middle East, he played a pivotal role in shaping content ecosystems for prominent entertainment, lifestyle, sports, and digital media brands in Australia.
Welcoming him to the team, Ian Fairservice, Managing Partner and Editor-in-Chief of Motivate Media Group, said, “With a strong track record of media leadership and crafting compelling narratives that engage audiences, enhance brand reputation and deliver business outcomes, Thomas is the right person to drive Motivate Media Group into its next phase of editorial excellence in the MENA region.”
Woodgate most recently spearheaded creative content strategy at nbn, Australia’s national broadband network, where he developed storytelling frameworks that aligned with government relations, corporate affairs, and brand objectives.
Prior to nbn, he managed media and communications for Optus, overseeing the content and media strategy for Optus Sport during major global events such as the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and UEFA Euro 2024, significantly boosting the platform’s visibility and fan engagement. He also contributed to launching Optus SubHub, a subscription aggregation platform, collaborating with global partners including Netflix, Amazon, and Paramount+.
Earlier in his career, Woodgate served as Editor of TV WEEK, one of Australia’s leading entertainment publications, where he played an instrumental role in its digital transition and helped organise the prestigious TV WEEK Logie Awards.
