InsuranceMarket.ae has appointed Hitesh Motwani as Chief Executive Officer following regulatory approval from the Central Bank of the UAE. The leadership transition also sees the company’s founder, Avinash Babur, move into the role of Chairman.
Motwani’s formal appointment is as CEO of AFIA Insurance Brokerage Services LLC, the regulated entity operating InsuranceMarket.ae, with both names being used across the business.
The appointment marks a significant progression for Motwani, who has spent more than a decade with the organisation and has held leadership roles spanning operations, portfolio management, marketing and business strategy.
Motwani joined InsuranceMarket.ae in 2013 and was appointed Chief Marketing Officer in 2018 before moving into the role of Deputy CEO in February 2025. He also holds the ACII qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute in the UK.
Over the years, Motwani has been part of InsuranceMarket.ae’s evolution from an insurance comparison and brokerage business into a prominent UAE insurance brand, with its growth strategy centred on technology, customer experience, distribution and brand building.
The company has expanded its marketing presence across outdoor, radio, digital and other platforms. One of its most visible brand initiatives has been the naming of the InsuranceMarket Metro Station in Dubai, placing the brand within the city’s everyday environment.
InsuranceMarket.ae has also built a strong online customer presence, with more than 30,000 Google Reviews and a 4.8 out of 5 rating, adding a significant layer of customer advocacy to its brand equity.

Meanwhile, Babur will continue to guide the long-term direction of InsuranceMarket.ae as Chairman while devoting greater focus to Alfred Holdings, which he founded and continues to lead as principal shareholder.
The transition comes as Alfred Holdings prepares for its next phase of expansion, with further developments expected across its portfolio.
For InsuranceMarket.ae, the leadership transition represents continuity, with Motwani moving into the top role after more than 13 years of involvement in building the organisation, its customer relationships and its brand.
