Info Media Group (IMG) has announced the appointment of Safwat Abdulkhalek as General Manager, entrusting him with leadership of the company’s UAE operations as it sharpens its focus on expanding its out-of-home (OOH) presence and driving growth across priority markets.
In his new role, Abdulkhalek will lead IMG’s commercial strategy and oversee day-to-day operations in the UAE. His mandate includes scaling the company’s premium outdoor media assets across high-impact urban locations, strengthening relationships with agencies and brand partners, and supporting IMG’s broader regional expansion plans.
The appointment aligns with IMG’s continued investment in high-visibility OOH formats across the UAE and Southeast Europe, as the company builds a future-ready outdoor media network embedded within major city environments.
Abdulkhalek brings over 14 years of experience in the media and communications industry, having held senior roles at leading global media agencies across the Middle East. His career spans multiple sectors including banking, real estate, retail, telecommunications, aviation and FMCG, with a strong track record in driving commercial growth and delivering integrated media solutions.
