House of Comms has introduced a new initiative, ‘Our House is Your House’, aimed at supporting local and homegrown businesses across the United Arab Emirates during challenging market conditions.
The programme is designed to provide practical marketing guidance to businesses navigating uncertainty, covering areas such as brand strategy, creative development, PR, social media, digital marketing, and web presence.
Through this initiative, the agency is opening up its expertise to founders and small business owners who may not currently have access to professional agency support, offering them a platform to seek advice and refine their strategies.
“We want to share our knowledge and provide a sounding board,” said Abby Lyons, Co-founder and Managing Partner at House of Comms. “Without the UAE, House of Comms wouldn’t exist,” she said. “Having lived here for 18 years, I’ve been through the crash in 2008, then COVID – and throughout it all, leaving never felt like an option.”
Founded in 2012, House of Comms aims to give back to the business community that supported its own growth journey. The initiative reflects the agency’s commitment to empowering the same ecosystem that helped it establish itself.
“We founded House of Comms in 2012, and without the support of other businesses taking a chance on us and believing in our abilities, we wouldn’t be here today,” Lyons said.
The initiative will continue to evolve based on participant needs, with plans to introduce webinars, workshops, brainstorming sessions, and in-person engagements. The agency is also considering opening its office space to foster direct collaboration with entrepreneurs.
“The initiative is evolving, but so far, we are looking at online clinics, drop ins, brainstorms, seminars – the areas we can really share our expertise and help spark creativity as to how brands can build their share of voice during these uncertain times,” said Lyons.
Recognising the current pressures faced by small businesses, the agency emphasises the importance of staying visible and proactive. By amplifying their stories and connecting them with wider communities, House of Comms aims to help these businesses remain competitive and resilient.
