HAVAS Middle East has announced the appointment of Dejan Kutnjak as Global Account Director for Emirates, reinforcing its senior leadership team as it continues to advance an integrated, data-driven approach for the airline’s global media operations.
In his new position, Kutnjak will oversee the Emirates account across more than 70 international markets. Working closely with the agency’s Dubai headquarters and regional teams worldwide, he will be responsible for ensuring strategic alignment, enhancing collaboration across markets, strengthening planning processes, and linking media investments more effectively to business and brand objectives.
Houda Tohme, CEO, HAVAS Media Middle East, said, “Emirates demands excellence across more than 70 markets. Dejan has spent two decades honing the skills this requires, bridging strategy, data, and technology to drive real business outcomes. His appointment signals our ambition to lead global brands from the region with the integrated thinking and senior talent they deserve. We’re delighted to have him on board.”
Kutnjak joins the role with nearly 20 years of experience in media leadership across regional and international markets, including EMEA, APAC, and global assignments.
Throughout his career, he has worked with globally recognized brands such as P&G, Dell, Uber, adidas, Heineken, and Red Bull. His expertise spans client leadership, omnichannel media planning, digital transformation, and the development of operating models that support long-term business growth.
His work has largely focused on helping organizations transition from campaign-led marketing approaches to more connected, always-on systems powered by data, technology, and performance measurement.
Commenting on his appointment, Kutnjak said: “Emirates is one of the world’s most recognised brands, so the opportunity to lead the account globally from Dubai was a role I was very keen to take on. The airline category is evolving rapidly and our role is to help Emirates navigate that through strong planning, better use of data and closer collaboration across markets. My focus will be on building clear strategic direction, simplifying ways of working and ensuring our media approach continues to support both brand and business growth.”
The appointment reflects HAVAS Middle East’s continued commitment to strengthening its leadership capabilities while supporting the growth ambitions of one of the world’s leading airline brands.
