Folgate Advisors Opens Middle East Practice With Riyadh Base

Folgate Advisors has announced the launch of its first regionally focused practice in the Middle East, marking a significant expansion of the firm’s global footprint. Headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Folgate Middle East is designed to support organisations across the region’s fast-growing economies by aligning business strategy with global communications expertise.

The new practice will be led by four senior advisors appointed as principals. Robert Hanvik and Peter Thomas will be based in Riyadh, Christophe Ginisty will operate from Bahrain, and Farzana Baduel will continue to be based in London. Collectively, the principals bring decades of experience working in and across the Middle East, advising some of the region’s largest and most influential organisations.

In addition, David Gallagher, Founder of Folgate Advisors, will also serve as a principal for the Middle East practice. Together, the leadership team will work directly with clients across the GCC, while also providing access to Folgate’s global network of more than 50 senior communications specialists worldwide.

Folgate Middle East will cater to both government and corporate clients seeking to strengthen their international positioning, as well as to global communications agencies, holding companies, and investment firms aiming to enter, expand, or scale operations in the region.

The firm expects strong demand for its expertise across sectors such as technology and AI, sports, tourism and entertainment, government, healthcare, industrials, and energy—areas where Folgate already has deep global experience.

From a services standpoint, the practice will focus on delivering board-level strategic counsel. Offerings will include executive profiling and positioning on the global stage, campaign strategy and development, crisis and issues management, market entry advisory, agency selection and evaluation, interim communications leadership, and organisational design.
