Abu Dhabi, UAE — The Abu Dhabi Media Office has announced the official launch of the Abu Dhabi Press Club, along with the appointment of Faisal bin Huraiz as its Director. The new initiative aims to elevate professional standards in journalism and strengthen the emirate’s position as a global hub for media and creative content.
According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the Press Club has been launched as a strategic platform to empower media professionals through specialized training programs, workshops, and knowledge-exchange initiatives. The goal is to support the production of high-quality content that reflects the UAE’s national identity, cultural values, and global outlook.
The Club will collaborate with media organizations, research institutions, academic bodies, and industry partners to expand media cooperation, facilitate expertise exchange, and host dialogue sessions to nurture talent and advance professional capabilities.
The appointment of Faisal bin Huraiz as Director recognizes his over two decades of experience and his contributions to advancing both the media and academic landscape across leading regional and international platforms.
In its announcement, the Abu Dhabi Media Office described the launch as a “strategic initiative to strengthen professional collaboration and knowledge exchange among journalists and media professionals, while fostering partnerships with leading media organizations locally, regionally and internationally.”
It added that the Press Club will serve as an integrated platform supporting the ongoing development of Abu Dhabi’s media ecosystem, reinforcing the emirate’s status as a global leader in media excellence and creative content production.
Maryam Eid AlMheiri, Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Media Office, said:
